*Note: Follow these processes in order.*


Powering On

  • Power on Computer and TV. (Note: You may need to turn on the power strip)
  • Log into computer
    • Password is usually the same as the User name.
  • Once logged into the computer, launch :
    • Steam
    • SteamVR
    • VR Time Clock (Note: The Game Chooser should launch with the Time Clock. If not, go into the Time Clock Settings and Select "Auto Launch")

  • Verify that everything is tracking. (Note: All the icons inside SteamVR are green and connected. The controllers will not show green if they are turned off.)

    *Note: It is a good habit to put the headset on and verify that everything looks normal and that the controllers are tracking. Once everything is looking good, double-check to make sure the booth controllers are plugged in and charging.*


Powering Down

  •  Close out of:
    • Any game that is running
    • VR Time Clock (Note: Time clock has to be shut down first before Game Chooser, or else the Game Chooser will keep relaunching.)
    • Game Chooser
    • SteamVR
    • Steam
  • Power down the computer by going to the start menu and selecting "Shut down". (Note: Do not power down the Computer by holding down the power button on the front of the computer or by flipping a breaker/power strip button. This is a bad practice and can shorten the lifespan of your computer) 
  • Shut TV Off
  • Make sure booth Controllers are up and charging
